It was an early morning off with Corvan and Brayden to a wrestling meet in Yelm. They both pinned their guys! It is so much fun to watch them, they work so hard and it really is paying off for them. We finished the match and raced home to beautify ourselves in 15 minutes to head out to the Scarcella Christmas party.
We did a dinner cruise on the Argosy Cruise ship. It was a lot of fun, good food, and beautiful scenery. It’s always fun to see Jim in this environment, he is looked up to and respected, it shows the dedication he has to Scarcella and the Brothers appreciate Jim.After that, it was so early, checked on the kids busy working at home getting ready for the following day…….we hit Cabella’s until they closed. Feeling like Christmas is a little more underway, yes!
Oh, the next day, up bright and early one more time…off to the races we go! Layton and Brayden both on bigger bikes and first race on them. A little nerve wracking but they do superb! If I must mention this, it was soooooo cold. Normally I don’t complain as long as the rain isn’t here. If I see blue sky I am usually just fine. Yesterday? Along with the high of 36 degrees the wind was whippin’. Brrrrrr….I’ll tell you, Jim saved the day once more though. I don’t think I could survive these races without his handy building skills right there at the races. We are becoming the ‘known’ tent. People come in here for a little warm food and to warm their hands and body. Jim can build a plastic house like no other. In between races Marlece sits in there and thanks God I have this to sit in. I thought I would take some pictures of it. The kids are also enjoying themselves too. We ended the day by quickly getting home to some homemade chili and out the door to youth group with a car load of kids, and inbetween all of that, Corvan and I made some delish Christmas cookies.
Big weekend, no doubt about it…but fun, fun, fun…
