fall and what it brings!

rain created a lake in our field!
Looks like fun doesn’t it?
breath taking isn’t it?

This here is my ‘Peanut M&M’, and you can bet I tried eating him up all night long!
Isn’t this sweet? Brayden knows I don’t like the whole jack o lantern thing so he put a bird on it instead….nice, isn’t it?
These pumpkins came right out of Bona’s (grandma) garden.

I am going to begin today writing as much as time will allow from here until Thanksgiving about the things I am grateful for. I love this time of the year because it does bring all of this to the forefront of the brain.

I, today am grateful of the beauty this time of the year brings. Look at all of these colors? Trees, breath taking. I have stopped so many times, right dead center in the road,(making sure no one was behind of course) to just look at the beauty. Our Lord is an Artist, no doubt about it.

I am also grateful today is here and yesterday is gone. I am not a halloween fan. I don’t like what it stands for so it just puts a bad taste in my mouth right off of the bat. I, on the other hand, did participate in the church festivities and walk around my friends neighborhood. I did enjoy watching the excitement of my kids. Also, this is the start of a ‘fight’ over the candy issue from here until, basically, Easter.

I am not a huge fan of rain, but doooooo looooove watching my kids play out in the mud puddles, such entertainment!I also worry about the horses more. Last night as it was pouring rain I can’t sleep until I go out and check and make sure the horses are in their stalls, in the dry. They tend to pick on one horse by kicking him out into the rain…once I know all is well I go back to sleeping sound.
So, I guess you would say today I am grateful for:
-our Lord the Artist
-watching my kids excitement and enjoyment
-horse stalls

Natalie at Mommy on Fire - What a sweet family you have and super cute costumes!

I have three children – one daughter and two little boys, ages 3 and 2, 15 months apart. They wear me out and crack me up. ๐Ÿ™‚ Boys are a wonderous thing…

How great to “meet” you in the blog world. You have a beautiful blog!

Jenay - I am thankful for Mr. Peanut M&M as well. Oh this cracks me up. He looks SO PROUD!!!! Beautiful pictures, and I love how you turn the things you don’t enjoy…Halloween and rain, into an opportunity of thanks…for the fun festivities, and the horse stalls. We should do that with ALL things…give THANKS!!!! Oh, and that is PRECIOUS of Brayden, and it doesn’t surprise me..that kid is the most thoughtful kid I know!!!!! What a gift!!!

Jasmine - Marlece, we need to give thanks in all things – so I understand the need to give thanks on purpose. It turns a gloomy mood into a happy one. It gives hope and helps us understand that God is in control.

The pictures are fantastic; your area looks a lot like mine. Wonderful colors. xox

Kerry - Gorgeous pictures. I especially love the bird pumpkin. ๐Ÿ™‚ I really miss wearing sweaters and enjoying the beautiful seasons. Guess I should’nt complain too much since I’m enjoying living in paradise here in Hawaii. Maybe we should switch for a few weeks. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Amy Sullivan - Marlece,
The puddle pictures are my favorite. I remember being that age and there was nothing as fun as jumping in and getting filthy.

Also, your pumpkins look so good! You can barely make out a face on ours.
