I was getting ready to go meet my friends this morning I got to thinking (I already spoke to Connie about this, she wasn’t offended, she knows me well) “oh my gosh, I have a friend, MY FRIEND, that is turning 50!” That means I am not that far away from her right? It just seemed weird, for the moment anyway…..
So, this is the kind of friend Connie is…us girls are jabbering away about ‘ourselves’ and SHE pulls out these cards for each one of US. Who’s birthday is it again? Connie is a gifted writer so what does she do? She writes each one of these beautiful letters to us, has us read them out loud and then…we are ALL crying on her BIRTHDAY! Not many have friends such as Connie I must say. When I met Connie we didn’t know each other even a single bit, before we started into ministry together. I was out working the horses, took the call from her in the barn, about the plans of our first date for a ministry we were going to begin together. In my head I am thinking, “she is too nice, we will NEVER mesh.” But, little did I know that our ‘Mommy and Me’ ministry began to grow and grow and I gained an amazing confidante, friend, mentor thru her being by my side. You should hear this woman pray…the pictures the Lord gives her, ahhhhh, something. And, she is so nice, and is always giving me grace for my not so niceness (heehee), a person such as me needs plenty of this. I don’t think we could have had the ministry we had without each other because where I was always on the harsher side she came by with tenderness. We all need a little of both in our lives and that is why I think we do well together. Happy birthday Connie!
Anyway, she is the dearest of the dear…I am blessed and GRATEFUL.
I guess you could say, TODAY? I am grateful for friendship. I have said it before over and over but the Lord in this department has abundantly showered me.
I am grateful for friendship
