star struck and Sister love

Do I look a little star struck?
Sister Sha headed out on a very long day! Have a good flight Sister!
Sha’s team

Ok, so, Sister Shauna had a 5 hour lay over in Seattle this morning. She and a team of 6 girls are headed to Uganda to serve in orphanages for 13 days. I got the privilege of being able to get a piece of Sister and meet her girls as they waited for their next 10 hour flight to Amsterdam and then on to Uganda from there. Ok, see that outfit Sha is wearing? I sent that to her, her first visit to Africa and here she is in it again, yah!!!!
So, as I am loading the back of the car with the girl’s bags they are all bringing them to me and meeting them as we are loading……… until, I dropped the bags in my hands, felt myself getting all hot, flustered, couldn’t speak, I turned and grabbed my sister and said, “OH MY GOSH, YOU BROUGHT OUR BFF WITH YOU?” I know that humble Beth Moore would be disappointed in me the way I was reacting over another human being especially herself but it was involuntary, it just happened! Then, Sha started laughing and said, “I know, I couldn’t wait to see your reaction!” This here is Jenny, and I must say, she is as sweet and dear as what I imagine Beth being in real life. (writing this I get all jittery~ha!) So, Jenny, not just because you are a replica of my dear Beth Moore but you are a beautiful woman and a heart that is precious!
The girl’s are in for an amazing ride with Jesus and those babies that they get to go minister to are going to be sooooo blessed!
I am so blessed to have been able to be apart in a small way today! And Sha, love you, come home safe, well, and will be praying for you the whole time you are there. Smooches!

Cheryl @ On the Old Path - It’s nice that you could be there and help out. I often think how I’d love to go and serve in an orphanage but at this time in my life my plate is full here. Just as yours is there, but you were still able to be apart of things in a small way, while you are busy with the mission God has given you at home. Blessings to you my friend.

Jenay - It’s so nice to have a BFF Beth Moore look alike, and now we can be for real when we say we are friends….I know I haven’t met either one, but when any of my sisters are a friend of someone I AM AUTOMATICALLY a friend too. I’m glad you got to meet up with Sha and her team!!! What a blessing to you and to the team. Praises all the way around.

Lady Rose - Marlece,

This sounds like an exciting adventure that your sister is about to take with other women. I am sure that they will be a blessing to those young babies. I’m also sure your sister will have GREAT stories to tell you when she comes back. Just be sure to share them with us too, tee hee. 🙂
