I decided to join in on the 5 questions Friday this week. It looked like fun!
What is your favorite TV show?
My favorite TV show is, well actually, my on going TV show would be General Hospital. Yah, I know, bad girl, it gives me a moment to completely veg. And then, I love The ‘Amazing Race’. I’d say that is pretty much all the TV this girl watches. Oh, I am liking ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ at the moment if I remember that it’s on.I think my favorite thing about TV these days is you NEVER have to watch a commercial again in your life if you don’t want to. DVR is the best thing out there. A one hour show in half the time!
What’s the worst haircut you ever got?
I don’t remember ever hating a hair cut but I know the one that was the ugliest…..the bilevel, oh yah, I sported that ‘do’ with pride. I wore that short, up and over the ears, short on top, to stopping at the ears to have long flowing hair in the back! Oh my, two hair styles in one, lovely!
What was something that you did as a child that you were so cool for doing?
One big thing that stands out in my mind was from the time I was just old enough to touch the foot to the gas pedal and see thru the windshield (barely see) I couldn’t wait for Sunday to go to the dump with my dad so I could drive us there. It was probably 7 miles down the road. Oh yah, I did this until I actually was old enough to get my license….let’s see about 7 years of training? hahaha!(small community, back roads, with not a lot of traffic, I must say)
Do you have any great frugal family fun tips?
I think the one my sis and I were just cracking up about is our ‘recycling’ method between all of us in this family. We are still swapping those new born clothes to wranglers, and what have you since the first niece was born and she is now 18 years old. I still will see a shirt that one of the cousins is wearing that I had originally bought for Layton and get all sentimental at the moment. And then the other funny recycling method we have is our exchange of maternity clothes and nursing bras. These poor things have been around the block too many times to count when you consider how many kids we have between us and the friends we have passed them to in between our pregnant selves. And the original set? Started out from a friend 18 years ago, thanks Marce we still have some of those treasures left in the pile! Ha!
Would you drive cross country if you had the money to fly?
Ok, anybody who knows me knows that this question deserves a great big NO! Not even a little thought behind it, just NO! This is something husband and I do not see eye to eye on. This is his FAVORITE thing to do. I say, “you drive, we fly!” And yes, we have done that before!
