Isn’t this sweet, my big baby!
Jim, hangin’ with Layton in the evening.
Hellllllooooooooo bloggie world! Oh how I have missed you, these darn computers, I have been down for almost two weeks now, I think I almost went crazy, and feel so behind on all my ‘reading’!
Summer is in full swing, I just love it! Getting up first thing in the morning to water the flowers and the lawn, it is so refreshing, love it!
Since I have been here we have been thru a little crisis. All is well now, thank you Jesus.
Last weekend I and the kids went camping at a dirt bike track about and hour and half away from us. We were so excited, Jim was going to join us the next day for he had a salmon trip thru his company. I was a tad bit nervous, I had the camper on and our big bike trailer behind. I use to pull a horse trailer all of the time and thru the years just haven’t done it as much. We got ourselves there and settled on Saturday early afternoon. It was a practice day and Brayden had been on the track once, Layton too. I was feeding the kids a the camper and Brayden brought to my attention that at the tower they were saying our name. I thought to myself, “I wonder what they want with Layton?” Kept going on with my business and Corvan came to me and said, “MOM, THEY JUST SAID MARLECE TO THE TOWER!” I knew then, and ran as fast as I could to the tower as it was dawning on me there were no other bikes running. Layton crashed. He was out for five minutes and was now sitting on a medics four wheeler in a daze. We got our stuff packed up much faster than we got it out and headed to the hospital. The whole way there Layton was doing really well. He was a little confused but the headache wasn’t terrible and he was a little nauseated but not terrible. I took the truck and trailer home and we jumped into the van and got to the hospital. Layton walked right in feeling fairly good. After a CAT scan come to find out he did have a concussion but also a spot in the inner part of the brain that was bleeding. So, Layton and I had a night stay for observation in the hospital. Waking him up every hour on the hour to test him. They sent us home the following day after seeing that another CAT scan showed that it wasn’t growing.
So, that was our drama for the weekend. Much different than what we had anticipated. Layton seems to be doing great except that he has not been able to do anything, go to work, or do anything for that matter but fish quite a bit. So, that has been a challenge. But we are grateful the Lord protected him and is healing him to 100 percent. We have a follow up on Wednesday for an MRI to make sure he is on the mend.
Thank you Jesus my babe is fine!
