getting back to normal!

Kids went back to school on Monday. Reluctantly, after staying up late for a week. I put Jordan to bed Sunday night. Jordan said, (as I was turning out the lights) “just sayin’….I have a lot of energy here, just sayin.” After a week of going to bed late and being able to get up late in the morning he was ‘JUST SAYIN’! He did NOT want to get up the next morning, it was rough with lots of tear!

We got a contractor out here to give us a bid, got heaters on our carpets and walls, we patched up the hole outside but now have a big hole in our sheet rock so that they can get the wet off of the walls and floor. We can’t do anything on the roof until it stops this crazy down pour and wind that we are having.

We have been busy, a good 10 hours worth of clean up work on our property and every time I drive into our drive I catch my breath, it looks like we haven’t even begun to touch it. I know I keep whining about this but I loved our OLD oak trees. It sure makes me sad, this is what made our home unique to me. I know, I am grateful, it could have been worse, but I do mourn what is no longer.

A few more pictures so that husband can see!

Rachel Jean - Poor girl. I understand! You just can’t replace an old tree like that! Max & I just had this conversation about our “big” (maybe 10 years old) tree. He sid to me, “Man if we had to replant a new tree you’d be really old before it got big, Mom.” Made me laugh!

Poor hubby too! He’s gotta feel pretty frusterated and helpless to be far away durring all of this.

Praying for you guys! Love you!

Meme - I mourn your trees also…I LOVE your trees..but I’m also thankful, it could have caused even worse damage to your house. It’ll all be okay, really it will…..

Anonymous - Oh gees…there goes that auto-correct making me look stupid again. Trying to do this from Brads phone since the commenting is still messed up. Anyway, sunshine is NOT petty, it’s really PRETTY. Over and out, friend.
Leanne again.

Casey Martinez - Well, you might be the only person I know getting a real winter by the looks of these pictures:). It seems that so many people are getting mild winters this year that seeing snow is almost shocking! lol. Sorry to hear about your trees:(
