rain, run, and St. Patty!

I woke up this morning with the plan to get out there and go for my run! This was what was third on the agenda after spending some time in the word and taking my vitamins. Ooohhhh, I should say fourth on the agenda after I STOKE THE FIRE IN OUR STOVE! (I cannot explain to you the difference this has made in my little world, I am lovin’ it and so is this family!)Anyway, as I looked outside I started welling up with tears because it is still raining and I’m sick of it! S.I.C.K. of it….my horses are sick of it, I’m tired of cleaning stalls nonstop, the chickens aren’t laying cuz I know they are depressed too! I look outside and after all of the work we have done out there it’s a mess again. I feel, as my neighbor said to me yesterday, overwhelmed! So, back to my run? I am going to MAKE myself get out there and do 7 miles today. Brayden set me up on his ipod. I’m so grateful for that kid and his willingness to share that with me on my runs. He put some new worship music on there for me last night and so I’m ready to go!

Brayden had the day off of school yesterday so we took a couple of hours and went and saw ‘Act of Valor’. It was good, makes me appreciate all the more what men and women do for us daily as they fight for us.

On another note, this day is St. Patty’s Day. My Mom, being all Irish LOVES this day like it’s her second birthday of the year. Even when we were little and we were upset about something she would always say, “now get your Irish on!” So, Ma? I wish you the happiest day and hope you enjoy your corned beef and cabbage! Turn a little Celtic music on and do a little Irish Jig for us! Love you!

And this guy here? Missin’ him just a bit!
