I have not had a good laugh like that in a long time. I’ve decided, I am just WAY to serious. God made us to be able to laugh and so we should do it. Not only that, it is good for the core muscles to get a good work out. Talking to sis today I said, “STOP, don’t make me laugh, it hurts!” Life is serious business, and we, especially as followers of Jesus who are always wanting to GET IT RIGHT, just don’t take enough moments to laugh.
We did last night. Corvan, Brayden and I headed up Seattle way to go watch our favorite comedian Tim Hawkins LIVE last night. Oh, he is funny on UTube but he is even more hilarious in person. There were times I was laughing hard just watching the kids laugh. It was a really great evening with the two boys. We started out at Red Robin and it only cost us twelve dollars due to having a birthday coupon. That made it even better!
We talked to some friends and ended up taking their son home with us for fun. I asked if he enjoyed it and he said, “I haven’t seen my dad laugh that hard, my mom, she always is laughing.” It hit me, I want my kids to see a lighter side to me that when they think of me they think about my laughter. I laughed in school nonstop. My senior year I got awarded ‘the most unique laugh’. Have I ever laughed like that around my kids? Well, I’m gonna start if they haven’t heard it or heard it enough for sure. I told my friend what her son said about her and she just smiled so big. Great compliment, great asset to have in you!
We got super close seats, seventh row back from the front. I forgot my camera, rrrrrrrr, made me so mad. So, we have one picture of the three of us there on Brayden’s ipod.
The parents are visiting Jim this weekend, they seem to be having a good time. I’m glad they went to go see him.
Today is a gorgeous day. I’ve been doing much racking and the boys are working at their Aunt Debbie’s doing the same there.
Went on an eight mile run this morning and the Lord was so good to hold back those clouds and rain! Thank you JESUS!
