week of this and thats!

Today is a big day! Jim comes home for good for a while anyway. The kids are looking forward to his arrival. Corvan, Jordan, and I are in the process of finishing up making a carrot cake for his arrival.

This past week we have had a good week just doing life. Brayden had a track meet. He did the hurdles and came in 1st place by a long shot. A coach from the other team came over to Brayden and said, “his form was beautiful!” Dont’ you just love when your kids do something like this? He’s such a humble guy, that’s why it makes it that much more enduring I think.

The hair I did this week in the salon was so much fun. I just love the times I get to show my creativity or try something new. This week was that!

Had a friend over for a morning of catching up and she ended up praying for me and I think it built me to a new sense of excitement and hope.

Preparing for a new bible study, one in my home this time. I think this is where I’ve been needing to go for a while so looking forward to what the Lord has in store.

I have five extra boys in this house this morning all snoozin’ at the moment. I probably should get in that kitchen and prepare some breakfast burritos for when they get themselves up!

Signing off as I hit the very wet pavement this morning with my running shoes. I hope I don’t drowned!

Mrs. A. - I enjoyed reading about your week and what you are up to. I have some extra people at home, brother in law (whom I’ve been mean too) I have to go and try to be a more gracious hostess despite his imperfections (sigh). This is the story of my life it seems. God is always trying to teach me this over and over again and when it gets hard I back down and get snappy! I should do some running. That would do me some good !

Much love,

Mrs. A

Amy Sullivan - Marlece,
So, I’ve come in response to your comment at my place that you need to post more.

First, the thing that is so great about your voice and your blog is that you seem like a neighbor. Really. You seem like someone I already know. You have this way of writing and sharing, but not sharing too much (um, you’ve been to those kinds of blogs, right?). It makes people feel as if we already know you, and like you! So, yes, post more, and don’t get nervous about the publish button. You’ve got things to say, lady.

Also, I know arranged marriages are frowned upon, but I have two girls and could your boys be any more handsome?

Lastly, because I’ve written so much that this is practically a post in itself…I can’t even tell you the last time I drove 243 miles. So good for you on that running. Geesh.

Have a great week.
