Anticipated this three minute moment for months and it was so worth it! I got to meet my other sister (she doesn’t even know it)!
My friend, who feels the same way about this woman, went to Seattle to meet the one and only Pioneer Woman!
We were committed, I say committed! There was a point in which we knew it was going to be a loooooonnnnngggg wait and we looked at one another and without doubt was willing to wait for the signature!
We left for Seattle in the afternoon to get to Pioneer Woman’s book signing party of her new cookbook. We got there WAY early, not early enough!
I am so glad I love Leanne so much because we waited for six hours in a book store for 3 minutes of a picture and for her to sign our books!
Was it worth it? EVERY SINGLE MINUTE!
Miss Pioneer Woman was so gracious even after sitting there for hours signing so many books. I don’t even think she got up to pee!
Oh, and ma, I looked the part, wore my cowgirl boots and my horsehoe necklace and PW even complimented me on it!!
She kept that smile on, was so willing to take a picture! We finally got our turn at almost the next day, it was 11:54 pm!
When I laid my head to that pillow at 2 AM knowing that I was near one of my favorite people of all time, put a smile on my face as I drifted off.
Leanne, thanks for the long hours of chatting, looking at books, spilling milk shake (oops!), eating gross burrito, sitting more, laughing, and MEETING OUR P-Dub together!
One of the most memorable dates I will have ever been on!
Sitting and waiting…..but excited!
She caught me reading the cook book, do you see the glasses? We did have the talks like, “what have we become? Sitting in a book store, following our star, a hot flash perhaps? No, just warm in there”
Finally in line, YES!
A picture with our friend….don’t we all look happy to be together?
