voting and more fall fun

Today I sit down and do that which is important to any citizen of the United States and that is vote. Even though we get tired of the bantering back and forth this is a chance for me and you to have a voice and show just where we stand. I know who the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords is, and that in the end, is what matters. I have to trust that He has His hand upon those of us who cry out to Him in guidance and protection, and know He is a God who Was, Who IS, and Who is to come. I voted, my vote will go for pro-life, pro-marriage, and pro-Israel.

Corvan said it well, you know, out of the mouth of babes. We were coming home from a football practice and listening to the debate on the radio. Romney said, “I believe we need to keep families together, a mother and a father in the home, we support those that do not have this  but this is what I believe……….(as he goes on)” Corvan says, ” ok, that is the guy who I’m voting for cuz he wants to keep both parents in the same house.”

As I sit here I also am thinking how time flies. Four years ago I was sitting here doing the same thing. And these are moments right here that I want to freeze frame. This morning Jordan asked Brayden what he was going to dress up like for halloween ( have I told you how I wish this day to pass by fast cuz I dislike it so much?) beside the point, I know….Brayden said to him, “Bud, I don’t think I will dress up this year”. Corvan pipes up and asks why, I explained that he is just getting too old to do that and Corvan looks at Jordan with a disgusted look on his face and he said, ” I will never be too old for candy” Jordan said, “ME EITHER!” ha! That cracked me up! And he is right, WE ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR CANDY!

Carving pumpkins last night. Brayden was in charge and they all did a great job. I sat back and watched and didn’t even let my blood boil one little bit over the mess I was seeing. The chickens got in on this, they LOVE pumpkin insides.

Does this look like fun?

finished product, very unique Jordan!

Karen and Gerard - I never look down on older trick-or-treaters because I’m glad they are still willing to have clean fun–and yes, one is never too old for candy! I do think they should dress up in some kind of disguise or costume though.
