Yesterday was Jordan’s birthday.
Must I tell you, it was one of the best in this house.
So the story goes….For months now Jordan has been telling us and bringing to his dad’s attention that what he wanted for his birthday was to go to this indoor water park that is very close to us. We have never gone because it cost SOOOOO much money to go. We told him he could swim, we would take him to the Y, he loves it there! Jordan, didn’t show disappointment, but so much wanted to give to him what he REALLY wanted!I looked for deals, why I can never find ‘THE DEAL’, I’m just so not good at it.
Monday, I got online and checked out prices and the price for during the week would be significantly better than a weekend. I called Jim, he said it was a GO! I packed the kids up without them being aware of it, we headed for school and I passed right by all of their schools. They were questioning me. I just kept driving until about a half mile from getting there Corvan looks in the back and saw the bags and said, “WE ARE GOING TO THE GREAT WOLF LODGE!” I tell you, the happiness in my now SEVEN year old was priceless. I might just have payed a million dollars (if I had it)to have this moment repeated again.
Jordan is by nature the most grateful kid. When a person is grateful, you WANT to do for them.
This is how it is with this child of mine.
I found some really good goggles and water proof band aids to protect his last encounter with his head.
Look at those faces!
Leap frog off of those lily pads!
So grateful myself that Jim works so hard to provide the ‘FUN’ that we were able to provide our baby!
