This is my Auntie Dolly. Doesn’t everyone wish they had an ‘Auntie Dolly’? This is a woman I truly love and adore.
Here are some reasons why:
Auntie Dolly shares the same birthday as Jordan. I love this, we feel it brought a special connection instantly between Jor and Auntie. They still have yet to meet each other face to face, but she has always been apart of his little world, because they share the same day!
Auntie Dolly, from the time I was just little was never in my dailies, because usually of distance, but she ‘has always been there’ for us girls. She is always right there to congratulate, cheer, us on anything wonderful in our lives, or be there when something not so wonderful has happened in our lives.
Auntie Dolly is like the sister my Mom has never had.
Auntie Dolly has the same mannerisms as my dad. The way she speaks, is so much like my dad in girl form.
Auntie Dolly has been thru much in her life and yet she plugs along as a strong unwavering woman to others.
Auntie Dolly has raised amazing children of her own.
Auntie Dolly and I look alike accept she has blonde hair.
Auntie Dolly is there for her family. They have been thru some major life altering things with her kids and their health and she is right there in the midst doing as a mom does.
Auntie Dolly, she is the little sis to her brothers….(that’s why she is so tough)
Auntie Dolly is a grandma and thinks they are ‘just it!’
I asked her one time, “when is it that people KNOW they are done having kids? I hear this all the time!” Her response to me was, “I never had that, I would have one today if I could!” ha, I love her!
When I see her it is like she understands my heart. The last time we had a little ‘talk’ a few years back I was astounded by what she observed and understood. It made me feel like someone gets it!
I look at Auntie Dolly and she really is someone I look to, to grow up to be like. She is a cheerleader and she is just always there. I can count on her and I know it. I would love to be this as an Auntie myself, or a sister as she is, or a supportive wife, a partner. She is just there, that is what I want to be too.
Happy birthday Auntie Dolly, I do love you so. Thank you for always ‘being there!’
