What is happenin’?

What is going on around here?

Jim, home for the weekend, off getting hay for the horses, it costs so much right now! Big sigh….

Layton, irritating me a bit. I went in to fix my own hair and get the salon ready for the day and what do I see on the floor? BIG PILE OF HAIR! He took it upon himself to shave his own head. Hello, did I forget to mention to him I DO HAIR! He has so many important things coming up and he shaves his head. Rrrrrrr!

Brayden, had his first track meet it down pours and massive wind on the first day of spring. He still did great, I’m not sure how, I was dying.

Corvan, he is in love with his teacher. He has even stopped doing as much recess to ‘help Mr. Lima out’. You know, important things like filing or errons to the office, what have you. He told me he sits the closest to Mr. Lima than all of the other kids in the class. I said, “Oh like, you are his right hand man!” He looked at me with a blank stare and said, “no, Mr. Lima is left handed.” Ok, I almost fell right off my chair in a fit of laughter.

Jordan, I got a call from his teacher in the day yesterday. She asked me if Jordan is getting pictures taken at school today because he is SURE he is suppose to. (I have never gotten school pictures) I told her no that we are not, and she said she asked him why he thought he was suppose to and his answer was, “because my Mom scrubbed my head real good today!” Wellllll….that calls for a picture, don’t you think?

I’ve been working on Layton’s senior scrap book. Oh my, to get alllllll that stuff out again, YIKES!

Kids having been talking alot about my sisters and family moving to Uganda coming up beginning of April. We don’t get to see them much but they know that it is ALOT further away so lots of inquisitive questioning going on.

Dad had a real touch from the Lord and is doing way better. Thank you Lord for this!

I need to clean my car up today.

Have been reading alot in the old testament, also watching The Bible series with the kids. People are saying it is so violent, well, as I’m reading IT WAS VIOLENT TIMES, quite accurate according to

I’m stalling, I should get my hinnie outside and get it movin’!

Karen and Gerard - There sure is lots of violence in the O.T. I’m watching this series too but am a bit disappointed with the script. It seems it deviates quite a bit from scripture, leaving out some very cool things in my opinion, such as Nathan’s parable when confront David about his sin, the voice from heaven saying “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased” when Jesus was baptized just to name a few.

I must admit though, the mini-series movie does make the stories really come to life! I liked the scene of the Israelites right before they crossed the Red sea on dry land.

Brandee Shafer - The Bible series. I lost my focus early on. Two words: ninja angels.

So funny about Layton shaving his own head. Cade would prefer to never again have a haircut. Ongoing battle. Surely there’s middle ground somewhere?
