BFF and racing!

As I write this I am exhausted. But the exhaustion was so incredibly worth it from the beginning to the end!

Jenay and I started the weekend with our BFF Beth Moore at her conference in Eugene, OR. If that wasn’t enough, then we ended the weekend with running a half marathon with sister. To have both of these things in ONE weekend, it is just over the top for me!

Oh, and then we got to spend time with Auntie, Uncle in their home. We stayed at their home, and of course it was so comfortable and easy being there.. I’m telling you could it get any better? YES! I’ll keep going thank you very much….

We got to see the cousins. They are just so much fun to be near. We are all so uniquely different yet the same as in ‘family’, always a great time!

The weather was to die for! It was just incredible all weekend!

Here Jenay and I are ready for Beth standing outside waiting for conference to begin.

Beth spoke on the different seasons we have in our life and how we conduct our TIME in His way. Great worship!

Here is our beloved bff Beth Moore. Such a humble but tenacious woman. Her whole body moves when she reads the Word, pure excitement!

We ate some yummy food too.

Then off to the race! We got up at 4:30 to prepare to leave at 6 to begin racing at 7…..We have run many miles together, sister and I, but never had the chance until now to run together in a race. I was actually getting all choked up waiting for us to go over the start line together. I have been looking forward to this for soooooo long! It was great, Jenay kept us moving at the right pace the whole time. It seemed when one was feeling a bit weak the other was feeling strong. So we pushed one another thru the whole way. At mile ten I thought I would NEVER see the marker for mile 11. I was almost getting mad inside like, “WHERE THE HECK IS IT?” Once we FINALLY got there my body kicked in and I was movin’ along.

I always am curious about what the people running are thinking about. So here are some things we did as we were movin’ toward the finish line….

We prayed for Cousin Hayley as we ran..She is undergoing treatment for breast cancer right now. The t-shirts we were wearing were made in honor of her as we raced.

We named things we were ‘thankful’ for at the moment (maybe at a time my feet were feeling quite numb)

Watching people on side lines, listening to the bands as we go by.

Jenay keeping track of time.

This is her ‘courage’ logo! And verse on back!

Auntie Dolly is sporting a shirt too! Hayley is Auntie Dolly’s Daughter inlaw.

FINISH!!!!! We finished at our goal. We did it in 1:58.

Then we went back to Auntie Dolly’s. She and Jill made a fabulous breakfast. One I ended up not eating, not feeling so well, liked the bed after a shower a little more for a while. Then we headed home.

Jesus just shined the whole weekend. It was one that will have gone down in my TIME as one of the best TIMES!
