Adventure with these boys, it keeps me on my toes!

Adventure, these boys and their adventure. It’s ingrained in them, it’s a part of who they are, I feel if I can be apart of developing that in them or nurturing this in them and be able to be apart in any way I will do it.

We went on a beautiful hike yesterday. Breathtaking actually….at one point I just stopped the boys and reminded them that this was all God’s idea, He is the creator. We are so blessed to get to be apart of what He has done.

Look at them! I just love this shot, Corvan it just sitting there watching the vastness of the river.

Can we ever get thru an event or adventure with some sort of, “what now?” I promise, I don’t seek out this stuff so that I can watch people’s mouth drop if I dare tell, AGAIN!

When we got to the end of the trail we decided to stop and have some lunch before heading back. It was gorgeous, the river is swift, very swift, there was lots of shore line for us to hang out on. Brayden and I were hanging back a little bit to get another shot with the camera while Corv and Jor hit the river. They knew not to get close but why not throw rocks in, duh! Guess who didn’t get the fact that this river was no place to swim in? That would be our water lover, Ruby. We heard Corv and Jor at the top of their lungs, “MOMMMMMM!” Brayden and I came a runnin’ while seeing Ruby heading straight down stream. Brayden, threw off his shirt and dove right in with all his adrenaline cut Ruby off on the other side of the river and pulled her and himself to shore.

It took awhile to walk down opposite sides of the river way down stream to find a place that was shallow enough and not so swift to get back across with Ruby. So, this is a picture of him going across here. I have never heard Brayden say he was cold, it took him along time for his body temperature to come back up once he got out.

Yes, we had the talk that next time no matter what he was to stop and assess with me before making a dive for it. His life is certainly more important than the life of Ruby’s even when we love her so. His strong swimming skills and the adrenaline pumping thru those veins is what got him to the other side.

Yes, this is Ruby, grounded from being anywhere near the river. She is tied up to a log, does she look like she is sorry? I think she knew, she walked right by my side and kept looking up at me the whole rest of the way back on the trail.

My baby, I love him.

This is Momma happiness, I just so love this boy of mine.

skipping rocks!

I’m usually not one to take ‘scenery’ pictures but just couldn’t help it. Look at the lighting in this picture?

On our way home we stopped at this lake to see this rock that people climb and jump off of. Um no, we did not do that this day, but we did climb to the top to say we did and could. (smile)
