When there is a story to be told over the fact that the Lord came thru and it was hard to believe it, that is called a miracle, and our Jesus is just full of them. FULL!
My head hurts today and my belly is in a knot, I feel as if I’ve been run over by a truck, and I am praising the Lord for how good He is.
As I breath in a deep breath, in and out, I then go to thanking Jesus for his mercy, grace and healing powers. It just keeps running thru my head thinking about this moment when all signs pointed to something I’m not sure I can even go to in my head, my heart just won’t let me.
Layton brought Shayna over for a visit and as we were saddling up the horses to take Shayna on a ride for the very first time. Bless her heart, she was ready to go in her new cowboy boots Layton had just purchased her and the helmet I put on her head.
Layton went and got Shayna’s kit to check her sugar levels beings she is a type 1 diabetic. She was reluctant to check because it seemed to be such a bother at the time but did and it was a bit high. Layton suggested that we wait a bit and get her some water and then ride and she insisted that she was fine and ok.
Before getting onto my horse I gave Shayna some instruction in the field on how to stop, go, and turn. Had her follow me around a bit. Layton was on his horse in the background so excited watching her be on that horse.
I went to get onto my horse, bent down, and Rosie jumped back a little when I grabbed the reigns. This sent Shayna’s horse into a little bit of a crow hop, onto walking, into a jog, into a gallop towards the barn. As I was thinking, “she has this covered” she let go of the reigns and fell off.
As I was running towards her there was no movement. When I got to her, it looked like she was seizing. I just began to scream Jesus’s name, “Jesus come, she needs you NOW!” Over and over Jesus’s name…..a minute or so later her eyes came back and her body began to relax under mine. She started to say her head hurt, I took her little boots off and asked her to move her toes, her fingers, speaking the name of Jesus in between it all, as she was able to do all I asked her to do.
The commotion around was big around me. Jim was calling 911 and the neighbors coming to assist, to getting the ambulance and fire truck into the field. Layton checking her blood levels for the EMT who was confused as to how to use her machine and check her pump.
Layton and I followed the ambulance to the hospital with knowing Shayna’s Mom was on her way as well. Layton and I prayed for her the whole way!
After many hours of tests, Shayna, poor thing, throwing up and throwing up and in pain, found that there was no concussion, determined that she didn’t have a seizure (according to scans,), no bleeding, but a little crack in her sacrum (the bone we sit on)
May I just say, this is a miracle? For she had all the symptoms of a head injury, a seizure, and whatever else. In my heart? Jesus did come and He did touch Shayna and as sister said, “It will forever be a miracle that we will learn of the details in heaven.”
Thank you Lord, You are a miracle worker, a God who saves, may You be glorified!
