People! Can I ever, ever be satisfied? Summer is almost coming to a close, last night I felt that cool air and when I got up to feed horses and go for a run it was nippy! I love heat, THAT I don’t want to go away. I say, “Be nice summer, and stay weather wise way into October is my request, please!” The unsatisfied part? I think I’m ready for that schedule back in my life. I know I am going to kick my own butt when I say this.
These are the things that came out of my mouth yesterday:
“I am not the entertainment center, we are done having fun, DONE!”
This summer my kids stay up at night way after I go to bed. Last night, to them this is all new because it hasn’t been an issue yet, I yell from my bed, “JUST GO TO BED!”
Where is my gumption to cook a meal that doesn’t consist of something on the girl with a vegetable of some sort? I think I’m ready for a stew in the crock pot. No creativity!
“GO OUTSIDE! I NEED FIVE MINUTES TO DO WHAT I WANT TO DO, FIVE MINUTES!” (so dramatic, I don’t even know where it came from, I have had so much fun with my kids this summer and they have lived outside, what the heck?)
I also have no desire to even grocery shop. Usually that is a fine thing on the schedule, I enjoy planning meals and what not……mother hubbard cupboard in this house!
My kids were begging for juice yesterday. I normally have it in the frig and keep control of what is going out by a cup in the morn for each but summer hit and its free reign in the frig! The juice lasts for a day and a half if I am lucky by hiding it behind things. I told them, “God did not make our bodies to HAVE to function by drinking juice so drink WATER!” Wahhhhh…….
Like I said, I will be kicking my own behind for even speaking this out, I know it! Because I DON’T want them to go back to school, I LOVE THEM HOME!
Amazing summer this has been, it really has been so good.
I just took a picture of this rose this morning, isn’t it beautiful?
Isn’t this cute? This is a bird house my kids made a few years back and this momma has four babies in here this summer. I kept trying so hard to get a picture of them but as you can see she was NOT having it.
This is one of the hikes we went on. Jim made them ‘native to the land’ with their fern hats.
good times, good time!
Anyway, just forget all that I was saying would yah?
It’s been a whirlwind of a summer and I’m dreading back to ‘the schedule’.
See what they all have to put up with? I’m crazy!
