HOMECOMING!

Homecoming weekend…. Unexpected and surprised when the Brewer’s made it up for the homecoming night to watch Brayden play! He didn’t know until AFTER the game, he was a happy boy! Brayden started in the game, EXCITING! Can I just say….this mom was bubbling with this underlying sense of joy all weekend long. I was just so proud of Brayden the whole weekend.

Each person on the homecoming court had to state why they thought they were chosen to be on the homecoming court and then announced their answer at half time and his answer: “I do my best to be kind to all and show them respect.” And this, is truly how he does life. Sometimes I will say something to him about someone and he will just look at me with a blank stare and I know that at that moment I just passed judgement and he was not going to respond. I appreciate this in him, I do!

 Here we go! Picture time!

Starting line up!

The sisters ready to cheer him on, GO RAINIER, GO BRAYDEN!!!

Do you see? They just smacked him hard!

The cousins are always so happy to be together no matter what they have to do to get together even if it means a 5 hour drive to get to each other!

Escorting the homecoming princess

Chars, cheerin’ Brayden on, one of his biggest fans.

HOMECOMING NIGHT! Look at this handsome guy!

I just had to share, Brayden came out with this tie looking so cool! He was in on the computer on a utube tutorial to teach him how to tie it like this, ok, isn’t it AWESOME!?

This is his friend Nickole, looking good for the homecoming event.

friendship (doesn’t she have gorgeous red hair? natural, yip)

more friends….

Brayden had a great night, I loved everything about it (except getting up at 10:45 to go pick him up) but even then, in my pajamas and slippers, as I’m driving down Rainier Road I turned on my worship music and thanked the Lord for a great day, great weekend.

Thanks Brewer’s for coming and supporting Brayden. That was the icing on the cake.

Brandee Shafer - I felt a little like I was there. I was on the court, one year. Seems like so long ago…but not.
