I love Easter! I was just thinking this morning how even when those that don’t know the Lord as their personal Savior that this time of the year there is a sense of sacrifice. Some of us call it lent others just make new goals to delete or bring something in that would be challenging to give up or do. Where as Christmas time there is the sense of giving. A time when the world is giving a little more of themselves, whether that is in things or in time, but the sense is giving.
This all comes down to the cross and the SACRIFICE Jesus paid for us so that He may GIVE us the gift of life. So whether we understand it or not the world around us acknowledges this in how they run their life these times of the year. Christmas, God gave us His Son to walk the earth as a gift so that we may understand how to live on earth and be about His business.
It just makes it all that more real and beautiful when you try to grasp exactly what Jesus did for us. It truly is a celebration.
We spent the weekend going to Good Friday service. AMAZING!
Sunday, we went to church and came home to eat a yummy meal. First steak on the grill since summer time. Yum-O! Then just hung at home. I did go to a service where a friend got baptized, what a day to do that don’t you think? Blessed my heart for sure.
Here are my guys after church. Man, I am a proud woman.
Then here is us, I asked Jim after seeing this picture, “were you unhappy? uncomfortable?” The answer was, “no”, ok well, he’s just holding in so we can’t see the joy on his face.
It was a great day! Jordan and Rhee (next door darlin’) received their first bible today too! When Rhee saw her name on it this is what she looked like.
Happy belated Easter everyone.
