I love more than anything to see my nieces growing up, getting married, and having babies! It is the greatest thing ever!
Last week Amanda and Chad had their first baby. Boy, has it brought so many things back walking it thru with Amanda a little bit thru the phone because of distance. The flood of memories over my 1st birth, to first time nursing, to coming home and my mom being the best friend I could have, to circumcising, the list goes on and on…..
But grateful to be apart as much as I could be with Amanda.
Super proud of her, she is a tough girl and watching how doing labor together with her man, he became a hero all over again in her eyes and she became his hero as well. It is a pretty sweet thing to watch.
Ryker Murphy he’s a real gem. Gorgeous, 7 pounds and 7 ounces.
Isn’t he just delish? Oh I can smell him from here.
Super proud of you! I know you and Chad feel over the top blessed, like you just received a gift that you don’t even have words for, you are feeling love like you never felt before. To think Jesus loves us more than we love our own. Pretty unfathomable isn’t it? I believe this baby boy is blessed too. To have placed him with parents such as you and Chad to care for him and love, what a gift to him too. I look forward to watching you two grow this baby up to the man God has intended him to be one day. I will always pray for him and for you and Chad. And…..you know, right next to your mother, I’m the best choice for babysitting there is. (smirk smirk) My boys have to help take care of him (they’ll teach him all kinds of things) just as I took care of you at times and then you took care of them. (smile) I love you honey, cherish these moments…….
Love, Your Aunt Marlece
